About the Hall

Farewell & Chorley Village Hall is a well-maintained community venue set in the peaceful village of Chorley, just outside Lichfield. With flexible layout options and a range of facilities, it suits a wide variety of events — from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations.

Whether you're planning a birthday party, a community meeting, a fitness class, or a wedding reception, the Hall offers a flexible, affordable, and friendly venue.

We're a not-for-profit community hall run by local volunteers. Every booking helps us keep the hall maintained for everyone in the community.

Winter charge An additional £10 per booking applies when the clocks go back — from GMT starting the last Sunday in October until the last Sunday in March — to help cover higher lighting and heating costs.

Booking is simple — just get in touch and we'll take it from there

Contact us with your preferred date, session, type of event, and approximate guest numbers.

We Confirm Availability

We'll check the diary, answer your questions, and confirm the hall is free.

Sign & Deposit

Return a signed Conditions of Hire form and pay a 50% deposit to secure your booking.

You're Booked!

We'll be in touch closer to the date with any final details. Enjoy your event!

What You Need to Know

  • The hall must be left clean and tidy after your hire
  • The hirer is responsible for the behaviour of all guests
  • Maximum capacity must not be exceeded at any time
  • No alcohol licence held — bring your own, or arrange a licence if selling alcohol

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 2 weeks' notice — full deposit refunded
  • Less than 2 weeks' notice — no refund
  • If we cancel in exceptional circumstances, a full 100% refund applies
